Eric Gulbrandson is a professional photographer and photojournalist focusing on weddings, families, head shots and special events.  With a Bachelor’s degree from the California State University of Long Beach he has been photographing people, places and everything in between for over 20 years.  Additionally, Eric has written a wedding planning book, Dream Wedding Secrets: The All Important G.S.F., which is a guide to creating the perfect wedding from the guests’ perspective.  This book is available on Amazon.com.

Eric Gulbrandson is an Orange County, California native and currently lives in Costa Mesa, California.  He has previously resided in Northern California, Colorado, Taipai, Taiwan and Guadalajara, México.  He speaks fluent Spanish but admits that his Chinese is extremely rusty.  He continues to travel and visit various parts of the world on both personal and professional assignments.

Eric is passionate about creating outstanding quality works for his clients.  His photography combines elegance with artistic and emotional qualities.  Whether it’s the joyful tears of a couple sharing their wedding vows, the overwhelming sadness of a baseball fan’s disappointment after watching their favorite team get beat, a child’s inquisitive expression or the hungry eyes of a lion on the brink of starvation, Eric’s photographs seems to capture the emotion of any given moment.  His patience, artistic intuition, ability to connect with his subject and eye for the perfect shot combine with his technical proficiency to create lasting memories for his clients.  Eric is quick to mention that subjects are best photographed when they are simply being themselves.  He uses his personable nature to help his subjects relax and become comfortable in front of the camera thus creating the most authentic photographs.  Eric Gulbrandson considers himself lucky to be able to earn a living doing what he loves.

About Me:

“My drug of choice is travel, which is where I seem to spend the majority of my money.  I have been fortunate enough to visit many other countries throughout the world but I fear I’ve only scratched the surface.”

“When I’m not taking photographs or traveling, I spend my time doing and/or enjoying some of the other things that make life so great like: the smell of fresh cut grass on a baseball field, studying martial arts, eating (I really like eating), learning new skills, attempting things I’ve previously not tried, waiting for a flight in an International Terminal, Salsa dancing, playing cards w/ friends, making my niece and nephew’s smile (or rather them making me smile), listening to my step-daughter sing, walking out of the gym after finishing a workout, revving the engine of a V-twin, & viewing wild animals (in the wild).”
